• Function Descripiton:

Latch and auxiliary latch, no dead bolt, operated by lever from either side except when outside is locked from inside by thumb turn or outside by cylinder- rotating inside lever unlocks and retracts latch and can be unlocked from outside by cylinder. Lock will automatically unlock when door is closed (latch retraction will unlock mortise lock). Thumb turn on inside is independent of outside cylinder, outside cylinder can lock or unlock mortise lock even if inside thumb turn is held in the locked position.

  down position, I/S lever rotates upward and down
  ward.
